Review: Silent Threat
By : KSilent Threat by Dana MartonMy rating: 4 of 5 starsAmazon FREE (Kindle Unlimited)
Non Spoiler quick thoughts:
I loved the first encounter between H/h. I can't recall the last author who hooked me they way this first meeting between H/h did.
I liked the mystery bad guy. Why? Because until the reveal I was not sure who it was. The author wove that part of the bad guy really well. I was nervous for heroine on multiple occasions and actually felt the danger she was in.
How did I feel about the relationship between H/h overall? At times I loved, hated and was just okay with it. I thought the Hero was well hot and the Heroine was the one who had to grow on me. I started this book reading along to the audio version but the narrator seemed to drag things on and sometimes the way things were read seemed cringey. In text form it was much less mother earth preachy.
The ending?
Well honestly I expected more. I wasn't unhappy with the ending but I was left a little disappointed because of how things were built up between the H/h.
Overall it is still a really good book that is worth reading.

"Night Moves" - Helenkay Dimon (A Blush Novel By Harlequin that failed to make me blush?)
By : KMy rating: 3 of 5 stars
Purchase Links : Amazon Barnes & Noble

Without spoiling the plot let me explain..... I am a fan of HelenKay Dimon's books so I was surprised at how little I enjoyed this one. I kept finding myself getting bored with the story and wanting to skip a head. Which is something I doubt I have ever done with one of HKD's stories.
So not only was I bored and wanting to skip a lot of pages I was simultaneously wanting to hit the main characters upside the head. Some of the chemistry between Maura & Liam was believable but most of the time I was taking their chemistry, their actions and the entire plot on a leap of faith.
I knew from the cover that "Night Moves" was going to have a fair dose of Mystery because its from the Harlequin Intrigue's line, but I was surprised to find how the intimate scene was handled. Its a blush scene which is fine but it came across to me as a something that had to be tacked on because of the book was being published as Harlequin and most readers assume that it would have some kind of "bowchickawowow" scene.
And unfortunately by the end of the story I was left with that dreaded "eh" feeling. You know that feeling you get when you have read worse books so you don't hate it but at the same time you didn't like it either. That is how I feel about this one. Lot of potential but doesn't live up to it.
*Genre Blush Mystery -(FYI Blush is a suggestive romance where the love scenes are not graphic.)
There is a part of me that feels like a "tool" whenever I say I didn't enjoy something.. Because I love to read and I really do appreciate and acknowledge all the hard work that goes into creating the book I just read... so just in case this review bothers someone who had something to do with that process....
uh sorry? kinda... sorta...

"A Husband's Regret" by Natasha Anders (One Hell Of A Read That I Definitely Recommend)

I loved this book so much I couldn't put it down. My emotions were so invested into the characters of Bronwyn & Bryce that I thought my heart would explode. This is an angst filled, heart-wrenching story about love, pain and one hell of a misunderstanding. I won't go into details because I don't want to spoil the book for anyone but WOW! I truly felt this one. My heart was in my throat and I couldn't read fast enough.
Some readers may find Bryce to be an ass but there is a reason behind it. This book had me worried if everything could be resolved and if it was even possible that Bryce & Bronwyn could move on. Its been a long time since I've been that emotionally connected and invested into a set of characters.
"A Husband's Regret" is one hell of a ride. And I definitely recommend you read it.
