"Tempting Alibi" is a short but sexy read that I enjoyed but wanted more from. The reason Scott acts they way he does around Michaela is adorable but in a sexy and manly way. Other reviewers have stated that ending was abrupt and I agree. When I finished the book I literally said to myself "That's it? That's how it ends?" Either way I enjoyed the chemistry between Scott & Michaela and thought their love scenes were smokin' hot.
My take on the synopsis:
Scott O'Callaghan is a former Marine who runs an auto shop. He's had his share of trouble as a teenager but now he is legit. Unfortunately no matter how hard he tries to show that he has changed Sheriff Hill still has it out for him and accuses him of a crime that he didn't commit.
Michaela Miller, Scott's sexy next door neighbor, brought him cookies to welcome him to the neighborhood. But Scott's uncomfortable lack of response to her neighborly gesture has her steering clear of him. At least until Scott is accused of a crime that he didn't commit and Michaela surprises Scott by providing him with an alibi.
Scott is determined to find out why Michaela helped him out. In doing so Scott & Michaela get close, real close, only to be torn apart by a misunderstanding. Can Scott & Michaela find their way back to each other or is the neighborly romance dead in the water... I'm not telling you ;) You'll have to read "Tempting Alibi to find out.
