"Dark Innocence" is a book that I really wanted to love but I didn't. I did enjoy it. And I enjoyed the relationship between Hannah & Dante. Their chemistry was believable and their love scenes where hot. But I was a little disappointed with the "mortal peril" part of the story. The way Hannah's mystery stalker is handled lacked any real excitement for me. And Dante is supposed to be a total badass yet when the fighting goes down Dante comes across more like a wimp then a badass. Madeline Pryce did succeed in making the connection between Dante and Hannah seem real and that is best part about this book. I hope that the author will expand more on Dante & Hannah's relationship because I would like to see more of them.

Thank you for the honest review!! <3 Glad you didn't hate it (LOL)! If you enjoyed the "world" there is actually a book that comes before this one, Dark Cravings, featuring Micah and Ella. On Jul 11th, Dark Secrets comes out. Dark Innocence was a 1.5 in the series.
ReplyDeletePart of me feels the need to apologize for my review. I know that you put a lot of hard work into your books. And it has to suck sometimes when people nitpick your work. But since I don't want to be a hypocrite and I personally believe what I wrote, I won't. <3 <3 I would like to say that I did enjoy Dante & Hannah's relationship. (And you wrote some pretty hot love scenes. ^-^) I bought the first book this morning and am excited to find out more about Ella & Micah.

Not every felt that way, maybe not every one had the balls to voice their opinion *grins* Either way, your feedback helps me write better books. You weren't cruel or mean, so you rock on! The most important part of Dark Innocence to me WAS their relationship, and you enjoyed that part, so in my eyes, I'm happy. And, I think you'll enjoy Dark Cravings. I think there is very little whimpiness, LOL. <3 Please let me know how you like it!
